IDAP grew out of the training provider Independent Drama (ID), which is the leading provider of stage and screen combat training in the UK, as well as a variety of other courses and workshops in action related skills; such as firearms, wirework, martial arts, horse riding, and more. ID employ veteran practitioners as instructors, including fight/stunt coordinators, sword masters and armourers, and work closely with them to ensure the training of their performers is relevant to the requirements of the screen, stage and motion capture industries.

It is those coordinators, sword masters, armourers and instructors that together make up the advisory team behind IDAP, giving us a deep understanding of action; its fundamentals and its many facets and allowing us to understand the production’s needs and hand pick the right people for the job.
